In the Community
At SecurEstate, we want to play a positive role in the lives of the people we serve. It’s a commitment that goes well beyond safeguarding their financial well-being. Because in the end, any positive role we play in the community is a service to our clients. So we’re dedicated to making a real difference. Sometimes that means sponsoring worthy causes. Other times it means volunteering our time and talents. And every day, it means being there to provide a voice of experience for anyone who has questions about planning for the future. Simply put, when we see a need we try to fill it. It’s what we do for our clients – and people we’ve never even met.

Shred Day – Since 2012, SecurEstate has hosted this event which is held annually on the Saturday in April following the income tax filing deadline. This is a free service that is open to the community and was established to help raise awareness of securely disposing of documents in an eco-friendly manner. To date, this event has shred over 24,000 pounds of unwanted paper. And if you are wondering where all those shredded papers end up? The answer is, a Kentucky recycling facility which converts unwanted paper into brand new cardboard boxes.

Friends of the Library: SecurEstate makes annual contributions to the Pendleton Friends of the Library. This contribution supports the Pendleton library services, facilities and other needs to stimulate gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, bequests, and memorial to enhance the local library and service the community.
For those interested in supporting this organization, contributions can be made online at https://pendletonfriendsofthelibrary.wordpress.com/donations/

Open Hearts Open Purses (OHOP) – SecurEstate makes annual contributions to OHOP which was established by the South Madison Community Foundation in 2010. OHOP puts community champions and worthy causes in direct contact with donors. Since its inception, OHOP grants have launched an early literacy program, a personal hygiene pantry, purchased public safety equipment, and created partnerships between existing non-profit organizations. Thousands of neighbors have benefited.

Pendleton Band: SecurEstate makes an annual donation to the Pendleton Height Marching Band to support them and promote marching band. For those interested in supporting the Pendleton Heights High School Marching Band, contributions can be made online at https://phhsband.com/phms-band/.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation: SecurEstate makes monthly donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, who has a mission to "do good," by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

Wounded Warriors: With busy schedules and hectic lifestyles, it is easy to take for granted the freedoms we enjoy and the personal safety we experience as Americans. On Veterans Day, consider taking a moment to call a Vet and thank him or her for help making our freedoms possible. As a thanks to all those clients who have or are serving the military, SecurEstate makes an annual contribution to the wounded Warrior Project which provides help to the thousands of wounded soldiers returning home from the current conflicts and to provide assistance to their families.
